Customers have started understanding paint in its true sense. Due to more awareness covering capacity has become one of the prime criteria of purchasing paints. In fact, many of the customers are specifying minimum covering capacity in their specifications.

Theoretical Covering Capacity (T.C.C) per litre can be calculated as below:

            TCC.                    =               Volume solids (in ml) per litre*

        (Sq. Mtr. / Ltr.)                   ----------------------------------------------------------------

                                                        Desire dry film thickness in microns

Example:
Paint having 381.25 mls. of solids (i.e. Volume of pigments+ resins) when applied at 25 mirons D.F.T ( Assuring it is a 2 coat system giving roughly 12.5 microns per coat)

T.C.C=      385.25
                 ------------    =15.25 Sq. Mtr./ Ltr.
