Introduction:
“Additive SF 4398” is a
mixture of oil derivatives blended with Pine Oil. It is an Emulsifier Free
Additive containing Polar as well as Non-polar functional groups. The use of
“Additive SF 4398” allows water incorporation in Oil based Coating System (High
PVC Paints & to Enamel with a slight reduction in gloss). White Spirit /
MTO / Kerosene being partially replaced by Water, thereby making it more
environmentally friendly.
Advantages:
Ø Practically
compatible with all types of Alkyd Resins used for Decorative Primers/Enamels.
Ø Addition of
“Additive SF 4398” forms a stronger Water-Alkyd Bond resulting in longer
stability.
Ø It enables the
formulating Low VOC Paints.
Ø It imparts high Viscosity to the system and thereby reduces settling.
Ø No water separation on storage as well as on Thinning down.
Ø Since the Pigment Binder ratio remains unchanged, no adverse effect on the final performance of the Coating.
