Skinning causes severe loss to the Paint Industry. Coating Systems based on Alkyd Resins made from unsaturated fatty acids, modified oils or epoxy ester resins are prone to skinning. Skin in the Paint is a resultant product of Oxidation process. The auto-oxidation is a slow process that gets accelerated by Metal Driers incorporated to enhance the drying of applied film.
“Additive AS 4188” is Phenolic Compound with
proprietary Surfactant Blend. It controls Skin formation on storage.
